The Technology Innovation Centre (the tic) and Market Maker have added VYRE Unify to their impressive technology portfolio. The Market Maker project, which is run within the tic, is supported by The European Regional Development Fund and aims to provide SME’s in the West Midlands with cost effective access to the smartest, fastest online marketing sales and business technologies available.
Market Maker’s objective is to improve the online communication of at least 280 companies by the end of 2006 and VYRE Unify was chosen to provide the core services of: content management, digital asset management and e-commerce.
“VYRE Unify was chosen as its web application building framework offers unrivalled flexibility and feature set, allowing a wide range of websites to be run from a single application. Furthermore, the ability to deploy sites quickly and export and import reusable applications will enable us to get our clients up and running quickly without compromise on functionality.”
Cham Athwal, Project Manager, Market Maker, The Technology Innovation Centre
Currently there are three projects in the pipeline for Market Maker. A service support site for Mobile Phone Tools, an online art store for Ann Taylor Gallery and the innovative idea of a farmers market portal, where independent food producers can sell their produce online.
“Market Maker will allow SME’s in the West Midlands to fully exploit the potential of the web at a reasonable cost. It is a unique project, which delivers a tremendous opportunity to its clients and we are extremely pleased that VYRE Unify met Market Makers demanding criteria and will play a key role by providing the core ECM technology.”
