Queen's University Belfast is going live with its first Digital Image Library site
19.05.2008 11:59We are pleased to announce that VYRE client Queen's University Belfast has recently gone live with its first Digital Image Library site, The Hart Collection: http://digitalcollections.qub.ac.uk/digital-image-gallery/hart/.
Queen's University Belfast is a broadly-based, research-driven university with a dynamic world-class research and education portfolio. Its record of academic achievement stretches back more than 150 years.
The University decided to invest in VYRE's Content and Digital Asset Management system as there has been a move in academia in recent years to make more and more information available electronically. Its objective was to construct websites with their distinct look and feel and based on rich media types to make its many digital assets available online.
VYRE's DAM functionality being part of its web platform has offered Queen's University Belfast not only maximum flexibility and extensive scope but it has also provided all the features the University needs to manage and expose a wide range of formats such as documents, manuscripts, journals, video, images and audio.
Further collections will go live over the next months.
