IMG Programming site goes live with new features

We are pleased to announce that the new IMG Programming site has gone live recently. The site can be accessed at http://www.imgprogramming.com

The IMG Programming catalogue originally went live last year but we have now been able to add some nice new and unique features to the site:

• The videos that are displayed in the flash banner on the homepage are not embedded in the flash player but can actually be managed through the admin section. Through the clever use of item-lists and feeds, the banner picks up the videos dynamically from the file store and the order in which they appear in can now also be managed from within the admin section.
• The browsing page on the site now uses taxonomy filtering and displays the results using Ajax plugin. Using taxonomy filtering in conjunction with Ajax was not possible before. The main benefit of this is that searching becomes much more responsive, which enhances the user experience.
