VYRE bring Enterprise Search to Mid Market with VYRE Unify version 4.4

New features include an Enterprise Search module

VYRE Unify 4.4 is a new version release of its enterprise class web platform. This latest release extends VYRE's philosophy of bringing high-end functionality to the mid market by introducing the new Enterprise Search Module. VYRE Unify: EnterpriseSearch is fully integrated with VYRE Unify, saving valuable time and money on integration and setup fees.

VYRE Unify

VYRE Unify is a Content Management platform designed to automate the digital marketing supply chain. Its single platform approach provides a range of solution options and unifies the worlds of content management, digital asset management and marketing resource management.

What is new in 4.4?

VYRE Unify 4.4 delivers over 300 new features and improvements, as well as bug fixes over the previous release.

Enterprise wide search capability

  • Most notably, version 4.4 introduces powerful new capabilities for performing facetted and federated searching across the enterprise. Facetted search provides immediate feedback on the breakdown of search results and allows users to quickly and accurately drill down within search results. Federated search enables users to eradicate content silos by allowing users to search multiple content repositories.

  • Additional features include: suggested relevant terms, in context hit highlighting, stemming and ranking.

Efficiency increases for users and user-friendliness

  • VYRE Unify 4.4 offers the ability to import an entire content structure (collection schemas and their attributes) from an Excel spreadsheet. This new feature greatly reduces the time needed to transition from requirements gathering to prototyping - as all the data/file stores with their attributes can be created from the import.

  • A new taxonomy editing portlet is available in version 4.4 that allows for taxonomy to be managed and edited in the CMS front end. Users can now fully manage taxonomies without having to access the administration layer or seek help from super users.

  • Another new feature of VYRE Unify 4.4 is the one-click deployment of all publishing entities for newly added delivery servers, which used to be a manual and time-consuming task. It will save users time and effort when new delivery servers are added in the future.

  • A new cloning portlet enables users to clone a whole list of linked items that are related. This increases efficiencies as this enables users to make valuable time and resource savings.

For example users within the travel or publishing sector who use VYRE Unify for print management can now clone a whole brochure with all of its attributes. Users can then keep the parts of the old brochure that do not need updating and update only those parts that have changed.

Multi-channel Publishing

  • In this latest version VYRE have optimised VYRE Unify's multi-channel publishing feature by improving support for mobile devices.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

  • Users have the ability to use localized strings in path names in version 4.4. Localised path names allow for greater search engine optimisation and are one of the highest ranking requirements for good SEO.

  • Images and assets have improved user and search engine friendly URL features. This again greatly assists with search engine optimisation.

Web Services

  • New Web Services have been added to the Web Service module giving users even more integration options.

Media Transformation

  • VYRE Unify: Media is a new media processing framework that offers an alternative cross platform engine to VYRE's well established Digital Asset Processing Server (DAPS).

Other new features and improvements

Other new features and improvements have been made to the Core System, Content and Publishing Modules, the Portlet Container as well as VYRE's Ecommerce and User Realm Modules.
