Senior Pre-Sales Consultant / Sales Engineer


VYRE is a software development company that specialises in web based technology. Headquartered in London the key product is VYRE Unify, a web based application building platform and content management solution.

The Senior Pre-Sales Engineer is a member of the VYRE Sales & Marketing Team, and can be described as an all rounder with previous experience in a WCM/DAM/MRM vendor. This is a key role supporting Direct Sales and Inside Sales Reps in promoting and selling the suite of VYRE solutions.


Educational / Technical requirements

  • A good Bachelors Degree or higher in Computer Science or Software Engineering 
  • Commercial software pre-sales experience
  • Experience within the following: consulting, pre-sales or a senior support position
  • Previous experience in working within a sales team supporting direct sales
  • Ability to demonstrate and present to clients at all levels
  • Able to present to technical and non-technical audiences 
  • Ability to configure, setup and maintain demo environments
  • Previous experience in responding to RFP/RFQ's
  • Must be technically skilled with a customer-centric mind & exceptional communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently, learn quickly, be proactive and to go a "step further" than regular job responsibilities when required.
  • Ability to quickly pick-up and understand new technologies as they emerge


Recent experience in most of the following:

  • Operating systems: MS Windows, Unix (Linux or other)
  • Database: PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL (at least one)
  • Web technologies: CSS, XML+XSL, XHTML
  • Experience of working with previous Web Content Management and/or Digital Asset Management and/or Marketing Resource Management systems

The Team

The VYRE Sales & Marketing Team consists of Marketing, Direct Sales, Inside Sales Representatives and Account Management. The role requires the applicant to work with all team members supporting them in all sales and marketing activities.

The key job responsibilities of the VYRE Pre-Sales Engineer are following:

  • Support Direct Sales in tender responses
  • Product demonstrations
  • Management & coordination of related follow-up activities
  • Adaptation/Customisation of pre-sales presentations & materials
  • Liaise with other departments
  • Working with partners
  • Participation in continuous sales procedures improvements
  • Liaise with third party vendors
