Support Engineer


We are looking for a strong and technically minded individual to join a dedicated support team, maintaining multiple web based solutions for clients such as Nokia, Diageo and Virgin Holidays. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, high attention to detail and be creative. 


Specifically, we're looking for the following:

  • Knowledge of HTML, cascading style sheets (CSS) and Javascript.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
  • Ability to pick up new technologies quickly.
  • Positive attitude and understanding of how to provide superior customer service.
  • A high level of spoken and written English.
  • The self-confidence to deal directly with clients.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to communicate complicated ideas clearly.

Your day to day key responsibilities would be:

  • To provide support for clients including the resolution of bug reports and support calls.
  • To ensure that all support work is carried out in adherence to the guidelines set out in our Support & Maintenance Policies document. This includes responding to issues within reasonable amount of time that is set out in the service level agreement depending on the priority level of the issue.
  • To ensure that all clients are following the procedures of reporting issues set out in the 'Client Support Procedures' documentation. This includes ensuring that they are tagging priority levels appropriately.
  • To ensure that any form of communication between the client and the support members are logged correctly to track the progress of the issues.
  • To ensure that when resolving issues, the quality of the work carried out is considered. This includes coding that is easy to maintain, open to future changes and ensure any complex functionality is commented appropriately.
  • To become an expert user on our products, gaining an understanding of the strengths and weakness; championing customer issues in order to ensure they have a positive experience
