Control over Structured and Unstructured Content

VYRE DAM provides outstanding control as it enables the management of structured and unstructured content by providing a central repository where rich media assets can be stored, searched, ordered, protected and repurposed to different sites or channels.

Browsables on the Fly

VYRE creates browsables for a wide range of formats on the fly: thumbnails preview and storyboard for Microsoft Office Suite, PDF’s and still image formats together with thumbnails, storyboards and any streaming media for all digital audio and video formats. The automatic transcoding of video into streaming media formats saves considerable time and costs.

 

ITV/ Granada use VYRE to manage and publish their video clip library and also to manage the distribution andstreaming of new programmes to their international salesagents.

Taxonomy Structure and Advanced Search

VYRE DAM includes full text searching capabilities. Full text searching greatly enhancing results by allowing searches throughout text as well as the metadata. Favourite searches and search results can be saved in a user’s favourite area or shared in a light-box.

The taxonomy structure provided by VYRE is totally unique, being both multi-dimensional and dynamic. This guides a user through the taxonomy classification, improving the user experience and search accuracy.

Metadata Templates

VYRE includes built in support for metadata standards such as e-GIF, Dublin Core and IPTC. This creates a consistency in metadata and accuracy in search results and greatly increases the productivity of uploading new content to the repository.

VYRE Metadata Exchange Format

The metadata exchange format is unique to VYRE and provides a “super schema” of metadata fields. This encompasses all of the best known schemas such as Dublin Core, e-GIF and IPTC and greatly simplifies the storage of different rich media and content types within a single repository. Different metadata schemas can be activated to reflect collections or other classifications in the DAM solution.

The exchange format also automatically extracts embedded metadata and populates the appropriate fields within the schema. For instance, for a word document the information extracted could include author, number of pages, title and changes, for video it could include bit rate, transcode parameters, audio channels or field dimensions. The automatic extraction of embedded metadata delivers considerable cost and time savings.

Full Audit Trail and Reporting

All actions within the DAM module are logged so a full audit trail of user activity can be viewed by your legal compliance or management team. A wide variety of reports on asset exist to monitor usage.

Sophisticated Version Control

VYRE has separate version control for content and design, including: metadata, pages, templates, style sheets and scripts. A record of all versions is available and versions can be reactivated at will.

Permissions and Personalisation

Advanced permission structures allow an administrator to quickly and easily assign usage rights on a user or group basis. This means a user only need view assets and perform actions (such as ordering) directly applicable to their requirements and permissions.

From a single solution with a central repository it is possible to have multiple interfaces and personalised views, providing the opportunity to have different interfaces for different brand teams, clients, company divisions etc.
