MediaServer is the hub of Unify’s Digital Asset Management capability. As a highly scalable digital assets processing server, it offers an extensive range of editing and transformation and transcoding services for all types of digital media.

It  provides users with workflow, approvals, commenting and collaboration tools to streamline management of all digital assets such as images, video, PDFs, print templates, audio, office documents. Users can quickly upload, apply metadata, categorise assets with intuitive tools to manage large volumes of rich media.

With VYRE MediaServer users can quickly and efficiently upload and share digital assets across multiple channels. It automatically provides different formats and sizes that are then published to the relevant sites, applications and intranets and stored only once.

As an integral part of the Unify platform, MediaServer is available at no extra cost – with no integration required.

Thumbnails generate thumbnails (JPEG, GIF, or PNG) from various file types

Image conversions – convert images to other formats, resize them or change the quality

Image processing – rotate images, crop them, change the colour and more besides

Metadata extraction – extract IPTC and EXIF metadata from JPEG images

Storyboards – create a storyboard from a video file and grab frames

Playlists – create video, audio or presentation playlists and export to multiple devices

Video previews – generate lower quality video previews (Flash, Real Player, Windows Media and QT)

Document previews – generate PDF previews of documents

Watermark – watermark images or videos

Extract text – extract text content from Microsoft Word documents and PDFs
